Kydronis comes across as an incredibly smug, arrogant but charming man, almost always seen with a relaxed smirk on his face. He teases and pushes people’s buttons and riles them up in a way that keeps people at arms length, emotionally. Despite this, he’s very considerate, and if asked to stop, will do so; he believes consent is essential in things like that. The truth is that Ky has a deep sense of anger and loss, one that he has forfeited his very soul to save others from feeling. Knowing that his life could end at any time, and that when it does his soul won’t make it to the Lifestream, Ky is both nihilistic and constantly pulled to enjoy every moment he can, making him also very hedonistic.

Backstory

Kydronis was born to an average family; his father was a miner, content with his lot in life, and his mother a homemaker and seamstress on the side. His childhood happy, Kydronis was a smart but sensitive boy; his younger sister was the apple of his eye, and all he did included her. Tragedy would strike, however, when the boy was 9.A Voidsent found them.The cause of summoning was never discovered, and much of the event in question lies forgotten even to Ky’, but what is certain is that his family were slaughtered by the beast. Ky’ awoke bathed in blood, the twisted face of his younger sister the final memory he has of his family. It was at that moment that the beast came for him, only for a rescuer to arrive.When the beast was destroyed, the Hunter in question made the decision, upon sensing the unbridled rage in Kydronis, to train him as his successor; training that would last a decade and culminate in a deep sacrifice for Ky’.On his 19th nameday, Ky’ undertook a ritual along with his mentor. Together, they summoned the very voidsent that had extinguished the mans family, then bound the creature to Kydronis to gift new power and enhance abilities already known. Said voidsent now inhabits a corner of the mans mind, as well as the weapon he manifests to hunt. A normal life would no longer be his; such was the price to pay for the power to destroy these enemies.After the binding, Kydronis began to make his own way, forge his own path. Never forgetting what he’d lost. Never forgetting the rage that fueled him. Never forgetting why he fought; to make certain nobody else would suffer what he had.

Current Events

Kydronis spends his time roaming around wherever work takes him, scoping out potential hunts when he gets to an area, then taking jobs like merchant caravan escorts in order to travel to a different area in search of more hunts.

Hunter of the Void: Ky travels the continent seeking out Voidsent to hunt, Ashkin to exterminate and rogue mages to bring to justice; anything involving these three are incredibly easy to get him in on, be it combat or discussion.Paying the bills: Not everywhere is a Void/Undead infested hellscape; often Ky’ will take up contracts for mercenary or adventurer work in order to keep his wallet filled enough to eat and sleep comfortably.Barfly: Ky’ spends most of his stops in bars, inns and taverns, seeking interesting company, ale and a place to sleep. It’s incredibly easy to find him in a setting such as this.Friendly: Despite his aura, Ky’ is a rather friendly guy, though he does very much enjoy finding and pushing peoples buttons.
